Our medical
advisors
Our medical advisors are external experts convened by Pseudomyxoma Survivor to get their professional advice and insights on a specific topic for which the expertise and knowledge are not available within the company. Advisors (experts in their areas) could be healthcare professionals (HCP), patients or caregivers.
Having these advisors serves several important purposes for us:
- Providing medical expertise
The advisors can review content and provide guidance on the latest advances in diagnosing and managing pseudomyxoma peritonei and appendix cancers. This helps ensure Pseudomyxoma Survivor is providing accurate and timely information. - Facilitating research collaborations
The advisors may be able to connect us with researchers at their institutions, enabling new studies on pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP) and appendix cancers. They can also review and advise on research grant proposals submitted to the organization. - Educating patients and physicians
The advisors can give lectures and presentations to online sessions. - Provide grounding
Patients and caregivers can see that Pseudomyxoma Survivor is grounded in authoritative medical knowledge and expertise. - Improving patient care
Ultimately, the medical advisors help further the mission of Pseudomyxoma Survivor by advancing research, expanding access to optimal treatments, and enhancing the quality of life for pseudomyxoma peritonei and appendix cancer patients.
In summary, our medical advisors provide tremendous value to Pseudomyxoma Survivor and our community through their medical expertise, research collaborations, education, advocacy, credibility and dedication to improving patient outcomes.
